During a recent group project presentation at ICL, I got insightful feedback from my classmates. My peers praised my excellent analytical abilities and the clarity of my data visualizations, which successfully communicated our main conclusions. They did, however, also note that my delivery could be stronger and recommended that I use more narrative components to engage the audience more effectively.
The feedback was crucial to my educational process. I have always taken great satisfaction in my ability to analyze things, but I have come to understand that communicating well is just as important as having an influence. The helpful review made me think about how I deliver and how I may improve audience participation.
I made several adjustments in response to this feedback. I started by practising narratives in my presentations. I organized my presentation for our next project to include accessible examples that demonstrated our conclusions. I also looked for chances to give presentations in front of small groups so I could practice my delivery and get quick feedback.
I also made the effort to watch my classmates who are excellent presenters while they present. I discovered how to employ body language, voice modulation, and timing to keep the audience interested by examining their methods. I intend to keep asking peers for comments after every presentation going forward because I consider it a crucial component of my growth.Â
